Jewish Heritage Tour of Jerusalem

The tour is available in English and Spanish. Highlights: Western Wall, Ammunition Hill, Yad Vashem, Mount Herzl.

Start the day with a magnificent overview of Jerusalem and the Judean desert from Mount Scopus, near the Hebrew University campus. Drive to the Old City. Visit the Tomb of King David on Mount Zion; walk along the Cardo, the ancient Roman road; view the remains of the wall of Jerusalem from the First Temple period. Visit the Jewish Quarter, the Western Wall — the Kotel and join the Bar-Mitzvah ceremonies.

Visit the Davidson Center and tour the southern wall excavations.  Stop for a visit to Ammunition Hill, a former Jordanian Army stronghold, now converted into a national memorial site and museum.

Drive to the military cemetery at Mount Herzl and Yad Vashem, a memorial to the Holocaust.

Return to point of departure.

NOTE: Modest dress (no shorts or sleeveless shirts) and head covering are required for visiting holy sites.

All tours are conducted by government licensed guides and in comfortable air-conditioned vehicles.
Entrance fees are included; meals are not.

Modest dress is required for visiting holy sites. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Hat, bathing suit, towel and sun screen for Dead Sea tours.
Tourists are obliged to stay with the group at all times; separation from the group may result in being left behind and will be at customer’s expense.
Valuable belongings should never be left unattended in the vehicle. Ofakim and its operators will not accept responsibility for any loss, injury or damage.
